| Cyclades In this Archipelago, you will find islands of a wild and arid beauty, of which: Mykonos, certainly very touristic, but superb village… Delos, Apollon island, exceptional ancient site, open sky museum; Amorgos, the island of “Deep Blue” movie; Syros, astonishing capital of Cyclades; Milos, the paradise of coves; Santorin, superb point of view (but distant, very touristic and not harbour….); Captain advises : You can start from Lavrion (close to the airport of Athens), but leave Syros, well desserved island in the center of Cyclades, will give you more possibilities if your time is limited. If you like the sporting sail, it happens strong winds in July, August and September in Cyclades. If you wish quiet water, prefer May, June, October or choose another archipelago. Do not try “to make” all Cyclades on a journey, or you need at least 3 weeks. You are rather “natural” ? Choose the West, from Kythnos to Milos, or South-east (Small Cyclades, Amorgos). Parties and popular beaches are in Mykonos, Ios and Paros. |

Sporades These pines covered islands present a quite different face from arid Cyclades. In Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and Skyros, one can associate the large island of Evia and spots of Pelion (Trikeri). A natural reserve is to visit in the North Sporades. Captain advises : If you have only one week, it will be necessary to start from Skyathos (airport) or to choose a “one way”. To start from Chalkis (with 1:00 of the Athens airport) for 10 days in Sporades is a good option. Over 2 weeks, you will be able to make the “large turn” (Evia and Sporades) and to start from a "base port" (Lavrion/Athens or Syros), without extra-charge. Spend one night on anchorage on the small island of “Panagia”, with its natural port. The winds are much less strong than Cyclades. Good to visit from June to August, even September. Very convenient for a quite cruise with children. |

Saronic Islands Hydra, Egine, Poros, Spetse… Easy of access starting from the port of Lavrion/Athens, by Sounion Cape. One can associate with it the east coast of the Peloponnese, Nafplion, Monenvassia and Kythira. Less wind than in Cyclades. Captain advise In July and August, it is difficult to find place in the ports, because of the proximity of Athens. |

Captain advises From Mykonos (port without extra-charge), one can make a 10 days trip on the North of Dodecanese, via Amorgos, Astipalea, Kos, Kalimnos, Patmos etc… If not, to leave Rhodos and to go up in “one way” until Mykonos (10 days also). |

Ionian Islands Ithaki, Zakynthos, Kephalonia, Lefkada, Paxos and Antipaxos, Corfou. Green islands with white sand beaches. Less windy than Cyclades. To make until August (after the risks of rain are more important than elsewhere). Captain advise One can leave Pyreas, cross the channel of Corynthe (sympathetic), then the gulf of Corynthe (Delphes, Galaxidi, island of Trizonia, Nafpaktos, bridge of Rio-Antirio, Messolonghi), to reach in “one way” the Ionian islands. |
